I paint the quiet — the moment just before and the moment just after, when light holds still and the world forgets to rush.
Ana Monroe is a painter working in oils, exploring the territories of light, solitude, and domestic memory. Her work inhabits the space between figuration and abstraction — paintings that feel simultaneously familiar and elusive.
Based in Holywood, Belfast, Ana has exhibited across Northern Ireland, the wider UK, and Romania. Her paintings are held in private collections on both sides of the Irish Sea.
She is currently working on a new series of large-scale studies, with upcoming exhibitions to be announced.
